My goal has always been (and continues to be) to connect you with high-quality picture books that meet your curriculum needs.
So what’s new about this blog…and what’s the same from the previous one?
Same: Each week I’ll introduce you to a picture book with beautiful illustrations written in a creative non-fiction style. Most books also have information for teachers in the back.
Different: My lesson plans now identify Common Core and Science Standards.
The Dandelion Seed provides a great introduction to the topic of seed dispersal. The story follows the life of one little seed as it travels through the seasons and develops into a full-grown dandelion plant. It’s metaphorical message of taking risks and courageously facing challenges is appropriate for all ages.
